Gotherington School Consulation to join Primary QuEST
The trustees of Gotherington Primary School are currently consulting to join the Primary QuEST Trust as a positive step to secure the school’s long-term future while building on its existing strengths. As a Single Academy Trust, the school currently operates independently, which can limit opportunities for sustained collaboration and shared expertise. By joining a local family of schools, we would benefit from greater access to high quality teaching practice, specialist support and shared resources, alongside strengthened financial sustainability and leadership capacity. Crucially, this would allow the school to remain rooted in its community, retaining its identity, staff, and values, while offering enhanced opportunities and experiences for all pupils through working in partnership with other local schools.
Our Consultation
The consultation is open until Friday 22nd May. If you would like to respond to the consultation, ask questions, or find out more about the proposal, please email schooloffice@gotherington.gloucs.sch.uk or enquiries@primaryquest.co.uk. The CEO of Primary QuEST, Stephen Dean, held a parent / carer information session with the Gotherington trustees and Rachel Biddle, headteacher, on Wednesday 29th April and slides are available below.
